Important Notice: Changes to Preventive Medication Coverage in 2025

As a reminder, beginning January 1, 2025, Purdue made the switch from CVS Caremark to AffirmedRx as the Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) to improve transparency and care of employees and their families.

Some preventive medications will be moved to non-preventive status. If you or a covered family member are impacted by this change, you should have received an email on March 31.

The preventive drug list will be updated quarterly with effective changes taking place as follows:

• Quarter 1 – May 1, 2025
• Quarter 2 – July 1, 2025
• Quarter 3 – October 1, 2025
• Quarter 4 – January 1, 2026

One month prior to the date your medication will move to non-preventive status, you will receive a letter at your home with further details.
