The Next Steps to Success
1. Accept Your Offer
Our myPNW portal will allow you to accept your admission offer, view your student profile, accept financial aid awards, take the Math Placement Test (ALEKS), if recommended, and register for New Student Orientation.
What do you need to do?
- Make a password for your myPNWaccount. You will need to enter your Purdue ID for this process. Please remember or record your password somewhere safe.
- After setting your password, log in to access your myPNWaccount. Enter your myPNW username and your newly established password to review your record and complete enrollment transactions.
2.Complete Your Math Placement Testing
Most incoming students will need to take math placement testing to determine their appropriate math course placement. ALEKS is an online math placement assessment, which means you can take it from any location: home, library, Testing Services Center – anywhere you’re most comfortable
This is an important assessment, one you should take seriously to determine accurate course placement based on your math skill. You will have three attempts within a six-week time frame, with your best score used for placement.

3. Join Us for New Student Orientation!
All new students are required to attend PNW new student orientation. At NSO, you’ll have the opportunity to meet people, work with an advisor to create your schedule and learn about all the resources available to you at Purdue University Northwest.
Ready for NSO? Make sure you’ve checked off the steps below.
- Accept your admissions offer
- Complete the Math Placement Exam (if applicable)
- Complete and submit the New Student Orientationregistration form
- Note your confirmation email with your NSO date and time
- Pay your $30 non-refundable NSO fee before attending orientation. Click here to make your payment.
