Lump-Sum Merit Pool for PNW Faculty and Staff

Purdue Northwest continues to focus on providing our students an outstanding experience and an exceptional education that reflects our mission of transforming students’ lives and positively impacting our region. You are at the heart of that mission, and we appreciate the efforts you make every day at PNW.

Despite challenges in higher education across the country, PNW continues to be fiscally stable. As a result, we are pleased to announce a 2% merit pool for a lump sum, one-time payment in July 2025, to benefits-eligible Purdue University Northwest faculty and staff as recognition of the hard work, dedication and continued excellence shown throughout the 2024-25 year.

Please note that supervisors will allocate individual awards from the pool based on performance. While the total pool equals 2% of eligible salaries, individual amounts may vary—some employees may receive more than 2%, and others may receive less, depending on merit-based assessments. Benefits eligible employees hired prior to March 31, 2025, may be included in the merit pool, which is 2% for one-time lump sum payments.

Supervisors will receive guidance from the Office of Finance and Business Services by mid-June to help them communicate individual award amounts. The one-time lump sum merit payments will be reflected in the July 23 pay statement for biweekly employees and the July 31 pay statement for monthly employees.
