Introduction

I serve as the Program Coordinator for the Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling programs. I teach a variety of courses, including Theories, Multicultural Counseling and Internship.

Research Overview

Emphasizing that the research question drives design, I utilize a variety of research methods. I often examine the effectiveness of teaching or counseling methods on student or client outcomes. Recently, my research has focused on understanding teaching and supervision methods that promote creativity and confidence for counselors-in-training. I also enjoy mentoring student researchers.

I have three cats who absolutely own me. I also try to balance my academic life with hobbies in music, improv and martial arts.
