Visiting Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering
Introduction
Presently, Yesuratnam Geddada, Ph.D., is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering in the College of Engineering and Science (COES) at Purdue University Northwest, Indiana.
Previously, worked as a Professor and Dean in the College of Engineering at JNTUK, Kakinada, India. He has more than 30+ years of experience as a faculty, research and a structural/industrial consultant in India. Geddada has served in several director positions at JNTUK.
Research Overview
I have supervised four Doctoral Degrees (Ph.D.) and 41 Masters Degrees (M.Tech/M.S) so far. I currently have two doctoral students and four master students working under my supervision.
Teaching Focus
Graduate (Bachelors) Level:
Mechanics of Solids, Structural Analysis –I, Reinforced Concrete Design, Advanced Mechanics of Solids, Structural Analysis –II, Design of Steel Structures, Bridge Engineering, Finite Element Method in Civil Engineering, and Building Materials.
Post Graduate (Masters) Level:
Theory of Plates and Shells, Matrix Methods in Structural Analysis, Bridge Engineering, Finite Element Methods in Structural Engineering, Analysis of Shells and Folded Plates, Pre-stressed Concrete, Theory of Elasticity and Plasticity, and Introduction to Earthquake Engineering.
