PNW Preventative Screening Mammography Program

Faculty and Staff,
In an effort to increase mammogram screenings and awareness, PNW, in conjunction with Franciscan Health, is providing no-cost screening mammograms to benefits-eligible employees and their covered spouses. The PNW Preventative Screening Mammography Campaign is now being offered both in the Spring and Fall.
Purdue’s health plans are administered by AmeriBen in conjunction with Anthem. Inc., cover preventive (nondiagnostic) screening mammograms for females ages 41 to 70. Those age 40 or under should talk to their provider about when to start and how often to get a screening mammogram.
To review eligibility requirements and to schedule an appointment with Franciscan Health, visit Employee Wellness’s webpage. No individual participant information will be shared with PNW.
Fall mammogram appointments need to be scheduled by Friday, September 11, 2026.
Fall mammogram screening appointment dates are October 5, 2026, to October 16, 2026, at the following locations:
- Franciscan Health Cancer Center, Munster, 701 Superior Drive, Munster
- Franciscan Health Michigan City, 3500 Franciscan Way, Michigan City
- Franciscan Health Women’s Center, 770 Indiana Boundary Road, Chesterton
- Franciscan Health Breast Care Center, 1201 South Main Street, Crown Point
- Franciscan Health Michigan City at LaPorte, 1010 W. State Rd. 2, LaPorte
During this campaign, employees will be provided up to 90 minutes of paid time off (with supervisor approval) during their regularly scheduled shift to allow for travel to a designated location, screening time, and travel back to campus. The employee does not need to make up the paid time off.
Earn Your Path Wellness incentive dollars!
As a reminder, mammograms are included in the 2026 Your Path incentive as one of the optional well-being screenings in step 2. Therefore, those who get their mammogram screening – either through this campaign or at another time in 2026 – and log completion into the Your Path portal are eligible for additional incentive dollars. More information on how to earn incentives via the Your Path Program is available here.
