Purdue University Northwest (PNW) invites community members to attend insightful and engaging lectures led by university faculty members during fall 2025 – without the pressure of tests or grades.

PNW hosts Friday University from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 24 and Nov. 7 at the James B. Dworkin Student Services and Activities Complex, 1401 S. U.S. 421, Westville, Ind. Programs are open to the public and registration can be completed at pnw.edu/friday-university.

Program schedules will include three sessions – morning, midmorning and afternoon. Registrants can choose between three different topics per timeslot, allowing them to customize their learning experience with their individual interests. Topic choices will span science, humanities, current events, arts, technology and wellness. These noncredit enrichment courses will allow participants to deepen their knowledge, explore new ideas or simply have fun learning in a relaxed setting.

[Friday University] reflects our commitment to accessible, high-quality learning beyond the traditional classroom and is an open invitation for community members across the region to explore a wide range of topics through interactive, engaging sessions.

Led by PNW faculty members in their areas of expertise, participants can choose from classes such as: Voices of Hoosier Past: Living History from Sears to Studebaker; Wine Uncorked: From Grape to Glass; Unlocking the Future: How AI and Quantum Tech Are Reshaping Our World; Conflicts in the Middle East, and more.

Registration is required and class sizes are limited. Registration costs $120 for a single Friday, or $200 for both Fridays. Continental breakfast and lunch are included. Check-in on both dates begins at 8 a.m.

A wine tasting event will be hosted for all participants following the final class on Nov. 7.
