Restructuring of Institutional Research and Student Success Technologies

Dear Colleagues:
As part of the continued efforts to identify operational efficiencies across Purdue University Northwest, the departments of Institutional Research (IR, in Academic Affairs) and Student Success Technologies (SST, in Enrollment Management and Student Affairs) are being combined into one unit, housed in Academic Affairs. We welcome the SST team to Academic Affairs!
In this process, the positions of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Success Technologies (held by Heather Zamojski) and Executive Director of IR (vacant) have been collapsed into one position—the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness and Student Success Technologies, who will report directly to the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
Recognizing the quality of her work, we are delighted to announce that Heather has assumed this role. We are eliminating the position of Executive Director of IR altogether. Related to this restructuring, we have also promoted/upgraded the position of Associate Director of IR to Director of IR. Recognizing the quality of his work, Jeff Schieb is the person who has been promoted.
Please join me in congratulating both Heather and Jeff for their new roles.
On a related note, based on a unanimous request from the IR staff, we are resuming the use of the name Institutional Research. Please note, however, that institutional effectiveness and data analytics will continue to be important components of their work.
Sincerely,
Marie T. Mora, Ph.D.
Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
