Art of the Pride – Zoom Backgrounds
Put your zoom (background) skills to the test! Create an original zoom background for PNW HoCo 2021 and vote throughout HoCo month for your favorite. The winner’s background will be featured on PNW’s website and they will also receive an Apple iPad.
Power Onward: Create Your Own Path to Success
April 2 at 1 p.m.
What does success mean to you? Getting the right job and the right company? The right degree? Join us for an insightful and engaging conversation with Jaime Casap, former Google Education Evangelist, who will share his own experiences as a first-generation college student.
Focusing on the importance of expanding your network while you are in college, Jaime will lead a “think tank” style discussion focusing on how college students today can create their own experiences and recognize the power of their potential.

Get Homecoming month started right with the annual Homecoming Carnival! Join us to kick off a month of activities and special happenings with free food, games and entertainment! There will be a food truck, DJ, photo booth, a tie-dye station and carnival games.

Get ready for a safe celebration with a classic Yard Party on the Westville campus. Games will include can jam, spikeball, ladder golf and bags. There will also be a DJ and food truck!

Celebrate your PNW Pride as we light up the sky! The Homecoming fireworks display is proudly presented by Purdue Federal Credit Union.
The show will be visible over the south campus parking lot at 1401 US-421, Westville, IN 46391. Enjoy the fireworks from the safety of your vehicle. All participants are required to follow campus safety protocols.
PNW 5K Community Walk “Students Helping Students One Step at a Time”
Sponsored by the Honors College
April 10 at 9 a.m.
In the spirit of Homecoming, join in this 5K community walk and help to raise funds and grow awareness for the Dean of Students emergency fund. The emergency fund was established to assist students who are facing challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Students, faculty and staff, alumni, community members and friends are invited to register your support and contributions. Walk participants, volunteers and cheerleaders along the 5k route are welcome!
Anyone unable to physically attend? You can still take part virtually through various Facebook Live vantage points.

At this event, guests will walk socially-distanced on the trails at Gabis Arboretum. The S.H.I.N.E Remembrance Garden that has been under construction will be revealed as well.
Day of Giving
Join us for PNW Day of Giving on April 28 as we come together once more to support our students by helping them build meaningful connections, pursue their passions and provide them with emergency assistance when needed.
Pride Baseball @ Dowling Park
April 30 at 3 p.m.
The PNW Pride baseball team will host Wayne State University’s Warriors at Dowling Park (located on JF Mahoney Drive, just north of I-80/94 on Kennedy Avenue, Hammond). PNW baseball fans are welcome to attend the game and all spectators are required to wear face coverings and maintain social distancing guidelines. Attendance will be limited to 250 individuals.
Purdue Federal Credit Union is proud to sponsor a free Homecoming 2021 t-shirt giveaway at this game while supplies last.
