Timely Warning: Thefts from Vehicles

PNW Community:

Thefts from vehicles (3) parked behind the PNW University Village have occurred. Reviewing video from our surveillance cameras, we discovered the suspect is a thin male possibly 20 to 30 years of age, wearing a black t-shirt shirt and gray pants with a stripe.

The incidents were reported over the last few days. Anyone who might have information about these incidents or the suspect is asked to contact Purdue Northwest Police Detective Sgt. Patrick Tracy at (219) 989-7006.

2. Remove your keys from the vehicle…
3. Do not leave a spare key near your vehicle…
4. Close the windows…
5. Do not leave belongings in your car…
6. Park in well-lit areas…
7. Install an audible alarm system and anti-theft device…
