Vaccine Open to PNW Faculty and Staff for Adolescent Children Age 12-15

May 12, 2021

The U.S. FDA has expanded its Emergency Use Authorization of the Pfizer vaccine to include adolescents ages 12 to 15. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention made a recommendation, today that it is in favor of this recommendation. Eligibility for the Pfizer vaccine in Indiana is now open to anyone 12 and older starting at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Purdue University Northwest is making first dose shots available to the children of faculty and staff only. You can walk into the NILS Vaccine Clinic between the hours of 8 a.m. and noon as well as 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.  It is required that the PNW employee or their spouse accompany the adolescent to the visit. We will not be able to offer the second shot at our location as it is the last day we will be open, but can provide you guidance to schedule the second shot in the area for your child.

The shots will be offered on a first come first serve basis. Please direct any questions to safereturn@pnw.edu.
