Wi-Fi Upgrades – Westville Campus

October 6, 2025

During the October Break (October 13–14, 2025), we will be upgrading the Wi-Fi service at the Westville campus. This upgrade will enable support for faster and more modern connections, delivering improved performance and speed for compatible devices.

As part of this upgrade, there will also be changes to the way some devices can connect to the Westville campus wireless network:

  • eduroam– Following the upgrade, connections will require WPA3 encryption. Devices that only support WPA2 or older will no longer be able to connect to this SSID.
  • attwifi – For those with devices limited to WPA2, this SSID will remain available and supported.

This does not affect the Hammond campus at this time.

We encourage you to check your device’s wireless capabilities ahead of time to ensure a smooth transition. Most modern devices (newer than 2018) support WPA3, but if you are unsure, please refer to your device’s specifications or contact the CSC for assistance. (csc@pnw.edu, 219-989-2888).

Thank you for your understanding as we continue to enhance technology services on our campus. We are confident these improvements will result in a better and faster Wi-Fi experience for the PNW Westville community.

Thank you,
