IUPUI Plater Institute on the Future of Learning

The Plater Institute on the Future of Learning hosted by IUPUI will focus on Interculturality and Inclusivity: Pedagogies that Dig Deep.  The purpose of the institute is to:

  1. Raise awareness interculturality and inclusion in pedagogies and policies in the university community, as well as add a lens of criticality to these issues.
  2. Provide innovative strategies and resources on how to create, implement, and assess interculturality and inclusion in the classroom.
  3. Showcase examples of campus projects and programs and examples of instructor work that address critical interculturality and inclusion in the classroom.

Dr. Kathryn Sorrells, Professor of Communication Studies at California State University, Northridge, will deliver the keynote address entitled Engaging Pedagogies and Practices for Human Dignity, Inclusive and Justice: An Intercultural Praxis Approach.

The institute will take place VIRTUALLY and is FREE to attend for PNW Faculty.  Registration is required.
