Application
Applications must be completely finished for consideration to the program. Applications are available in Spanish by changing the language on the top right of the application.
Eligibility Requirements
- 11 years old and in 6th through 11th grade (at the time of applying)
- U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
- Enrolled in a targeted school in our area
- Two-thirds of our Educational Talent Search (ETS) participants must be low-income (according to federal guidelines) and a potential first-generation (neither parent has a four-year degree). The remaining participants are considered discretionary and do not have to meet the restrictive criteria of the two-thirds ETS participants.
- Commit to participating in the program until high school graduation
- Must have a desire to attend college
- Will maintain a GPA of 2.3 or higher
*Please note: we have 3 pre-college programs at PNW Hammond. Students can only participate in one pre-college TRIO program.
Application Process
- Student must complete the entire application according to their grade level (middle or high school). Please enter the student’s grade level for the 2025-2026 school year. Applications will close on August 31, 2026, and will re-open on September 1, 2026.
- Submit the most recent report card for the student in the application, with the student’s name and school visible on the report.
- Once submitted, the application will be reviewed to determine eligibility for the program.
- A determination letter will be emailed to the parents, informing them of our decision.
