Westville Tornado Drill

September 14, 2026 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

We will be conducting a Tornado Drill (move to a storm-safe area) at the Westville campus on Monday, September 14, 2026.

These drills offer faculty, staff and students the opportunity to plan and practice their response.

Drill Format

We will announce the start of the drill by our ENS (PA) system. The drill announcement will be: “This is a Tornado Drill; please move to a storm-safe area.” We will also announce the end of the drill, “All clear, resume normal activity,” by ENS (PA).

Being mindful of the interruption to instructional time, the entire drill from start to finish will be eight to ten minutes. If you do not hear the “This is a tornado drill, please move to a storm safe area” announcement by ENS, do not move to a storm safe area. In addition, if you hear the starting drill announcement and do not hear “All Clear resume normal activity”, do not remain in the “storm safe place” for more than eight minutes.
