How Sweet It Is…Honey Workshop at Westville
Ready to join the PNW Pride? We’ve made it easy. Let’s walk through our application process.
What We Need from You
Our application process has three major components: our online application form, your official high school transcript or GED score, and your SAT or ACT test results. First-time college applicants will pay a $25 non-refundable application fee unless eligible for a fee waiver.
1. Application
Our application gathers the majority of the information our admissions office needs from you.
Create an account to fill out our online application. You can save your progress and return at any time. A PDF version of the application is also available.
A personal statement is not required, although this optional add-on can provide context for your personal and academic history.
2. Transcripts
We’ll need a copy of your official high school transcript or GED test score. Transcripts can be sent electronically using Parchment.
3. Test Scores
PNW accepts both the ACT and SAT; you only need to send us one.
PNW College Board/SAT Code: 1638
PNW ACT Code: 1233
Applicants who have been out of high school for more than one year can substitute test results from the university’s Testing Services Center.
Admissions Offices
Transcripts and test scores can also be mailed to our offices if necessary.

Information for Homeschooled and Returning Applicants
At PNW, we understand the value of home education. Homeschooled students often arrive on campus with many of the skills needed to excel in college — time management, pacing, studying — and contribute unique perspectives to our student body.
Like students coming from traditional high school environments, homeschooled students must fill out our application, submit a transcript from their home school, and send either an ACT or SAT score. A personal statement is recommended but not required. It is a useful tool for you to tell us more about your life experiences, extracurricular activities, and special recognitions.
At PNW, we understand that life happens. We allow students who have left the university to apply to return. What’s the difference between re-entry and readmission? Students who left in good academic standing should apply for re-entry and students who were academically dropped from PNW should apply for readmission.
Re-entering Students
Students who left PNW in good academic standing may apply for re-entry. If it’s been more than a year since you attended, we’ll need you to:
- Complete a new application
- Submit transcripts from any college or university you’ve attended since leaving PNW. A $30 transcript
- evaluation fee applies.
- Pay the non-refundable $25 application fee.
- Re-entry acceptance is determined by individual departments.
Readmission
We believe in second chances at PNW and we allow students who have been academically dropped to apply for readmission.
Students who have been dropped are required to sit out at least one semester and cannot attend classes at any Purdue campus during that time.
Students applying for readmission must submit an application by the following deadlines:
- Fall Semester: August 15
- Spring Semester: December 15
- Summer Session: May 1
A $100 Readmission Fee must be submitted with the application.
Admissions Policies
PNW allows domestic incoming freshman students to delay their enrollment for up to one year from their original admission term. Students deferring their admission beyond one year must reapply.
Students may pursue 11 or fewer credits during a gap year. If a student earns 12 or more credits, the freshman application will become invalid and a new transfer application must be filed.
Any formally accepted freshman merit scholarships awarded through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will be held for up to one year from the original admit term.
PNW gives credit to students who take Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and other advanced learning courses and exams. The number of credits and equivalent courses granted depend on the course or test, as well as the student’s score.
