The Interdisciplinary Center for Professional Development (ICPD) at Purdue University Northwest empowers mental health professionals through high-quality, interdisciplinary training. Our mission is to advance mental health care by equipping practitioners with the skills, knowledge and continuing education needed to meet licensure requirements and enhance clinical practice.
ICPD is uniquely positioned within a university setting, allowing us to draw on academic expertise, regional partnerships and real-world experience. We offer accessible, expert-led workshops—both virtual and hybrid—tailored to psychologists, social workers, counselors and couple and family therapists at various stages of their careers.

Registration is self-serve, and is completed online (link above, under current event opportunity). If you are having difficulties, please feel free to reach out to the ICPD via email, icpd@pnw.edu, and we can arrange a phone call to help you register.
We encourage you to register early! Space is limited, and seats fill quickly. Don’t miss out on these valuable learning opportunities!
You should receive a copy of your registration or a confirmation email from icpd@pnw.edu confirming your spot in the course/workshop within five business days. If you do not receive this confirmation, please contact us to confirm that everything was processed and you are good to go.
One week prior to the event, you will receive the link to join (if synchronous/online) or more information related to the in-person event.
If a paid event, you should receive a receipt almost immediately after your payment has been processed.
We will be offering our training and CE events online, hybrid or in person. Each event will be clearly marked and identified as to what type of training / modality is to be expected.
In person events will generally take place at the Indianapolis Boulevard Counseling Center building, on the Purdue University Northwest campus. The GPS address of this location is:

For our online workshops, we will enable closed captioning. In addition, we will ask each speaker to ensure that their slides or presentations are ability-friendly.

To get your CE Certificate, you must have attended the entirety of the workshop/training and completed the post-workshop evaluation. Currently, we are processing everything manually.
You can expect to receive your Continuing Education Certificate within seven business days after the conclusion of the event and the submission of your post-workshop evaluation. Your certificate will be delivered directly to your email, in PDF format.
We are an automatically approved Continuing Education Provider in the State of Indiana (IC 25-1-4-0.2(6)).
Most other states will accept Continuing Education credits and trainings from institutions of higher education (what we are), but you should always check with your licensure board for the most accurate and up to date information. As we become providers for a wider range of states, or associations, we will post that information here.
“CE” standards for Continuing Education and refers to the process by which professionals enhance their knowledge, expertise or exposure to certain topics and information. It is often required to maintain a license to practice—however, the amount and types vary by jurisdiction.
Participants are responsible for verifying whether a specific program meets their professional board’s requirements.
