Introducing Enhanced Meal Plans from PNW Dining Services

An Exciting New Chapter for Campus Dining
Dear PNW Campus Community,
On July 1, 2026, food service at Purdue University Northwest will officially become a fully self-operated auxiliary unit, PNW Dining Services. This milestone gives us the freedom to reimagine campus dining around what matters most: our students. I am thrilled to share the first look at our enhanced meal plan offerings.
This transition reflects who we are as a student-focused university. By bringing dining in-house, we can deliver an experience that meets both the educational and nutritional needs of our students at a high level, with greater quality, flexibility and value than ever before. Students will be able to select their meal plan for the fall semester beginning in mid-July.
A smarter, more valuable way to dine
Previously, students dined on a declining-balance system known as Dining Dollars, essentially a dollar-for-dollar exchange for whatever they purchased. Our new meals-per-week plan changes that. Students can now enjoy a complete meal without worrying about what they’re spending, and on average, our meal plans offer students roughly a 30% discount per meal compared to the old model.
Each meal is fully customizable with an entrée, a side, and a beverage… or one of many other combinations to suit individual tastes and dietary needs. It’s real value and real flexibility, for a complete meal.
Extended hours, including evenings and weekends
Alongside these enhancements, we are extending dining hours to include evenings and weekends. This will be especially meaningful for our students living on campus, particularly with the addition of our newest student housing, Calumet Hall.
Fresh vending, available 24/7
Calumet Hall will also feature new fresh vending options curated by our own campus kitchen, giving students access to quality food and beverages around the clock, 24 hours a day. We could not be more excited to enhance the dining experience for our students and our entire campus community. This is just the beginning, and we look forward to sharing more in the weeks ahead as we count down to the Fall 2026 semester.
