Dear Colleagues,

Purdue University recently announced it closed the bid solicitation for a system-wide syllabus management tool, which is a milestone in the university’s commitment to enhancing teaching and learning through best-in-class technology. The project team has entered the evaluation stage and invites all faculty and staff to view recordings of the three vendor finalist demonstrations (each approximately two hours long) and provide feedback and input. The links to the video recordings and feedback surveys will be posted as soon as they become available; the deadline to submit feedback/input is December 5, 2025.

The selected syllabus management tool is expected to support consistent, accessible, and efficient syllabus creation and distribution across all Purdue campuses. A key requirement identified by the selection project team is the ability for instructors to designate individual sections of a syllabus as public- or student-facing, while maintaining only one version of the document.

In addition, this tool will help streamline academic operations and support compliance with House Enrolled Act 1001-2025: “A faculty member shall prepare and post on the institution’s website a syllabus for each course the faculty member is teaching.” It will also assist with accreditation standards and enhance the student experience across the Purdue University System.

For questions or additional information, including how to access the video recordings and feedback surveys, please contact the Center for Faculty Excellence at cfe@pnw.edu.

Thank you for everything you are doing for Purdue Northwest, especially for our students.

Sincerely,

Marie Mora
