Introduction

My research examines how misinformation about psychology and inequality-driven mistrust shape social cognition. I also explore how science identity and belonging influence student success.

Research Overview

Heather’s primary research has two streams: the psychology of misinformation and mistrust and science identity and belonging. She is also interested in advanced quantitative methods for studying social and cognitive processes. Her work has appeared in Journal of Research in Science Teaching and International Journal of Community Well-Being.

Teaching Focus

I mainly focus on teaching quantitative research methods (statistics!) and social psychology.
