Purdue University Northwest’s Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Statistics with a Concentration in Statistics and Data Science is designed to prepare students for careers in statistics. Our program is based on the use of sophisticated computational skills, communication and teamwork so students can gain valuable real-world experience.
This program is aimed at students who wish to develop a career in statistics or related disciplines, including data analytics and data science. It emphasizes on providing both programming skills and statistical methods needed for data-driven decision making. Teamwork and communication of results are the key elements of the program.
Statistics and Data Science Curriculum
As a Statistics and Data Science student, you’ll take a balance of general education courses, College of Engineering and Sciences core courses and applied mathematics and statistics courses. This 120-credit-hour program features coursework in classical and applied mathematics as well as teamwork and communication to assist you in your future career.
You’ll dive deep into concepts of mathematics, computing and statistics to understand and adapt to rapidly changing, real-world applications.
