Welcome Dr. David Taylor to Purdue University Northwest
Dear Colleagues:
I am delighted to share that Dr. David Taylor officially joined Purdue University Northwest on July 1st as the Teddy Jacobi Dean of the College of Business and Professor of Marketing. Please join me in extending a warm PNW welcome as he begins his leadership of the college and becomes an integral part of our university community.
Dr. Taylor brings extensive experience in higher education leadership, strategic planning, enrollment growth, and faculty development. Throughout his career, Dr. Taylor has demonstrated a commitment to student success, academic excellence, and innovation. His accomplishments include increasing undergraduate enrollment and retention, advancing accreditation efforts, expanding academic programming, and leading the development of new initiatives in analytics and artificial intelligence.
Most recently, he served as Dean of the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology at Sacred Heart University, where he also held previous leadership roles as Associate Dean, Director of SHU Luxembourg, and Chair of the Department of Marketing.
In his first weeks and months on campus, Dr. Taylor looks forward to meeting students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners across the university and region. We are excited for the leadership, vision, and collaborative spirit he brings to Purdue University Northwest. He will play a key role in helping us fulfill our vision to cultivate leaders, inspire excellence, and impact our world.
I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Kwangsoo Park for his excellent service as the interim COB Dean during the 2025-2026 academic year. He is resuming his role as Associate Dean and Director of the White Lodging School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
