Ronnel DuBose

Dear PNW community,

I am delighted to announce that Ronnell DuBose has been named PNW’s inaugural Executive Director of Diversity, Inclusivity, and Belonging, effective July 3, 2023. This new position replaces and expands upon the role of Assistant Vice Chancellor for Educational Opportunity Programs, formerly held by Catalina Rodriguez.

The Executive Director will continue to oversee PNW’s six federal TRIO grants, and will also be responsible for promoting a culture of belonging for all PNW students. As part of his role, Ronnell will manage initiatives associated with PNW’s designation as a NASPA First-Gen Forward institution, reflecting our commitment to making a high-quality college education accessible to all.

Ronnell has served as the Director of the TRIO Upward Bound/Upward Bound Math and Science Programs at Purdue University Northwest for three years. He previously served as the Assistant Director for TRIO Student Support Services at Purdue West Lafayette.

Ronnell received his Master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from Ball State University and his Bachelor’s degree in Management from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. Ronnell is originally from Detroit, Michigan and a proud first-generation college student.

Ronnell’s family consists of his spouse, Jasmin, and two daughters, Genesis and Journi. As a proud first-generation college graduate, he is passionate about creating opportunities for students to maximize their full potential and ideal success through education.

Please join me in congratulating Ronnell!
