Availability of IT Resources @ PNW

Dear PNW Community,
We hope that everyone is safe and has been able to start recovery or will be able to soon. Though it is certainly of low importance compared to other things, we wanted to quickly let everyone know what IT resources will be available when you are able to return to work and begin preparations for the start of the semester.
IT Helpdesk (CSC)
- In-Person Support (Hammond): As power and network begin to restore to parts of campus, we will begin staffing the Powers (room 216) helpdesk as soon as Monday, August 17. (As long as staffing availability allows.) In-person support at Westville will remain closed until campus re-opens.
- Phone Support: On Monday, we will resume taking phone calls at 219-989-2888. (If you need phone assistance prior to Monday, you can call our 24/7 helpdesk location at West Lafayette at 765-494-4000.)
- Email Support: On Monday, we will resume processing email tickets. (Again, if you need assistance prior to Monday, you can call our Purdue West Lafayette location, or email it@purdue.edu.)
Our staff are also recovering from damage and power/network loss at home – so our hours may not be as reliable as normal. Please reach out to our West Lafayette location if you are not receiving any response from the PNW team and need immediate assistance.
Digital Learning Solutions (DLS)
- Virtual and phone support: Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST | Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST
- In-Person Support: Powers (room 216) Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST (when campus reopens)
- Email Support: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST (csc@pnw.edu)
Networking/Internet
Some buildings on the Hammond campus have internet access where power has been restored. As power returns to more buildings, our networking teams will evaluate the equipment onsite and will hopefully be able to restore internet connectivity. If you experience difficulties connecting to wi-fi via the Eduroam network (and believe it has been restored to that area), please use the SecureW2 tool to reconnect.
Thank you,
Daniel Bruhn | Director, Service Desk & IT Service Management
