Panorama Playground: Strategies to Make Handwritten Notes Accessible Using YuJa Panorama

Handwritten notes can create accessibility barriers since they are often scanned documents and are considered unreadable by assistive technologies. In this session, we will review strategies to convert handwritten content into more accessible formats, so that all students can access it. We’ll also discuss how YuJa Panorama can support this process.  

After participating in this session, you will be able to: 

• Recognize accessibility barriers that can occur when course content is provided through handwritten or scanned notes 

• Apply strategies to convert handwritten content into accessible formats  

• Implement a workflow to deliver an accessible version of handwritten notes
