Purdue University Northwest’s office of Marketing and Communications welcomes listeners and readers to “Lions in Action,” an official university podcast showcasing the inspiring ways students go beyond the classroom, turning their passions into real-world experiences.

KALE: Greetings, Purdue University Northwest and community listeners! I’m Kale Wilk.

KAYLA: And I’m Kayla Ooms.

KALE: And we are incredibly excited to let you in on a project that we look forward to sharing with you over the next few months.

KAYLA: Purdue University Northwest students are dynamic, hardworking and resilient. They explore their interests and prepare to become the innovative leaders Northwest Indiana needs to move our communities forward.

KALE: And that learning doesn’t only happen inside the classroom. Before, after and in between the traditional class setting, you can often find PNW students participating in an activity or initiative where they are challenged to exercise their knowledge through applied learning.

KAYLA: From collaborating with team members on a vehicle for racing competitions to volunteering time for a heartfelt cause, PNW students find many opportunities where their academic interests and personal passions can grow, transforming their confidence, leadership, proficiency and more.
