Faculty Support for Developing External Grant Proposals

Dear Faculty,

In partnership with academic colleges, the Office of Commercialization and Research (OCR) is pleased to announce faculty support for developing external grant proposals. If you would like to participate in this initiative, please share your interest with your Dean at the earliest convenience.

Each Dean will set the criteria for their College and recommend faculty members for this funding support. Funds will be transferred to each College, and the respective Dean will determine if the funds will be used for faculty release or summer stipend. A minimum funding request to an external agency is expected to be $200,000.

In addition to the funding support in this initiative, the participants will be provided full access to the Office of Commercialization and Research proposal preparation services, grant writing support, and an experienced pre-award specialist.

The faculty members will be expected to meet biweekly (i.e., every 2 weeks) with OCR leadership to provide updates and to ensure that each participant is fully-supported and making appropriate progress toward their proposal goals. In the event the above expectations are not able to be met by a faculty member, their funding may be rescinded.
