Admissions Scholarships

Freshmen and new transfer students are automatically considered for academic scholarships as part of the admissions process. See deadlines and details below!

Who Is Eligible?

Entering Freshman applicants beginning their studies in Fall 2023, enrolled as full time students each semester (minimum of 12 credits) and successfully completing a minimum of 24 credits hours per academic year, progressing toward graduation within 4 years.

When Is the Scholarship Deadline, and When Are Recipients Notified?

As an incoming freshman student, you may qualify for a merit scholarship. No application is required: however, you must apply and be admitted to the university.  The Academic Achievement Scholarships are awarded during the application review process and are based on your high school grade point average (GPA).

The priority deadline for scholarship consideration is August 1 for Fall 2023. Completed applications received after the deadline will be considered for scholarships based upon available funds.

Scholarship recipients will be notified within a week of receiving their admission decision.

Is This Scholarship Renewable?

Yes. The scholarship is renewable for up to 4 consecutive years (8 semesters). Scholarship renewal will be assessed at the end of Spring semester. Those with 3.0 cumulative GPA and successful completion of at least 24 credit hours will be automatically renewed for the following academic year. Summer classes will be considered for those who do not meet requirements.

When Is the Scholarship Deadline, and When Are Recipients Notified?

As an incoming transfer student, you may qualify for a merit scholarship. No application is required: however, you must apply and be admitted to the university. Transfer academic scholarships are awarded during the application review process and are based on your grade point average (GPA).

Fall 2023 applicants must be admitted to Purdue University Northwest before August 1, 2023 for PNW Transfer Scholarship consideration.

What Is the Scholarship Consideration Criteria?

Consideration begins with a GPA of 3.0.

How Much Is the Scholarship Worth?

$1,500 per year (summer semester excluded)*

Is This Scholarship Renewable?

Yes. The scholarship is renewable for up to 2 consecutive years (4 semesters). Scholarship renewal will be assessed at the end of Spring semester. Those with 3.0 cumulative GPA and successful completion of at least 24 credit hours will be automatically renewed for the following academic year.
