2. RISE Logo Competition Winner

The RISE Logo Competition at Purdue Northwest has officially concluded, and we are pleased to share that the contest received more submission than anticipated. We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed their time, creativity, and vision to support the visual identity of PNW’s strategic plan.

After careful review, the Strategic Implementation and Action Committee and the Senior Leadership Team selected the winning design. We are excited to announce that the winner of the RISE Logo Contest is Nerissa Fezler, social media and events coordinator for the College of Business!

Nerissa’s design is with Marketing and Communications for final refinement and preparation for use across the university. The finalized logo will be unveiled at the above-mentioned RISE & Reflect events. Thank you again to all who participated and helped bring the spirit of RISE to life through your design contributions.

3. Launch of the PNW Student Success Network

Last fall, we announced the launch of the first phase of the PNW Student Success Hub and Network, a coordinated and integrated initiative designed to provide comprehensive, student-centered support across academic and campus services. This is one of the initiatives under the Foster Academic Excellence goals in our strategic plan.

At the core of the Network is the Student Success Hub, which offers success coaching, peer mentoring, and accountability groups focused on goal setting, regular check-ins, and mutual support. The broader Network will integrate support units within Academic Affairs and across the university to essentially operate as a one-stop-shop and create a holistic and highly visible system of care for our undergraduate students.

If you have any questions, comments, or ideas for the implementation of our strategic plan, please reach out to Emily McGuire, Strategic Project Administrator for the Provost/VCAA, at mcguir27@pnw.edu who has been charged with overseeing the coordination and project management for our strategic initiatives.

I am grateful for the dedication and collaboration demonstrated by faculty, staff, and students and I look forward to continuing to work together this new year to realize our strategic vision and exemplify the RISE values.

Sincerely,

Marie Mora
