What Are The Hub’s Core Services?

Student success coaching is a one-on-one or small group support service designed to help you get the most out of your college experience.

A student success coach works with you to talk through challenges, set goals that matter to you, and build the skills and habits that make college feel more manageable and rewarding.

It’s not tutoring or counseling. It’s a friendly partnership where you set the direction, and your coach helps you stay motivated, organized, and confident as you work toward your academic and personal goals.

If you have questions or are ready to get started, contact us by dropping into Gyte 148, emailing, or calling at (219) 989-2511.

Peer mentoring is a friendly support service where experienced students are here to help you find your way.

Whether you need study tips, campus advice or someone who understands what you’re going through, peer mentors offer encouragement and real-life guidance to help you feel confident and connected.

If you have questions or are ready to get started, contact us by dropping into Gyte 148, emailing, or calling at (219) 989-2511.

Adapted from Purdue University’s Academic Success Center, Accountability Groups offer ongoing support to undergraduate students in a group setting to help you strengthen your study skills and stay motivated to achieve your goals.

Sessions are scheduled for 10 weeks, one time per week for 90 minutes in the Hub. Groups consist of 6 to 8 assigned students led by a graduate assistant and/or peer mentor.

Participants are expected to attend each week to help contribute to the group’s overall success. During weekly meetings, you will set a realistic goal, work independently on your tasks and follow up with the group to discuss your progress.

If you have questions or are ready to get started, contact us by dropping into Gyte 148, emailing, or calling at (219) 989-2511.

What is an Accountability Group?

An Accountability Group is a supportive space where students commit to their academic goals and show up for themselves and each other. Through shared goals, open communication, and encouragement—not judgment—members stay organized, focused, and motivated. It offers connection, support, and a sense of “you’re not in this alone” as students celebrate progress, navigate challenges, and stay on track.

Are you ready to join an Accountability Group?

Email the Hub at ssh@pnw.edu with your group preference and we will contact you to get started!
