Get to know more about Andrew Skibski, assistant professor of Integrative Human Health!
Why did you choose PNW?
“I am excited to contribute to the new kinesiology concentration within the integrative human health degree program. With a background in athletic training, I bring a different perspective to help grow the program and educate students interested in kinesiology and human health. Having been a student at both large and small schools, I enjoy the smaller class sizes at PNW.”
What are you most excited about in your first year?
“I am excited to develop and teach a new course in the integrative human health program called Motor Development. I also look forward to starting my research at PNW by collaborating with athletic programs to investigate the application of movement screens for sport performance in collegiate athletes.”
How do you spend your free time?
“I enjoy spending my free time with my wife, Hailey; our daughter, Sadie; and our dogs, Rory and Nelly. My hobbies include playing golf, running, spending time outside and working on projects around our house.”
What is your proudest accomplishment?
“In 2024, I received the Dissertation Award from the American College of Sports Medicine Biomechanics Interest Group. This award recognized the scientific quality of my dissertation and the impact of my work on the fields of sports medicine and biomechanics.”
