What Is a Diploma?

A diploma is a document that lists:

  • The college awarding the degree
  • The type of degree being awarded
  • The campus awarding the degree
  • The date the degree was conferred

Names are printed on diplomas from the information you supply when you submit the online Application to Graduate, which is required of all students when they are registering for their final classes in their degree program. Make sure you specify exactly how you want your name to appear and include any special characters such as accent marks or tildes over a letter.

Diploma Pick-Up Dates

When available, diplomas may be picked up at the Registrar’s Office of your home campus – Hammond in Lawshe Hall, Room 130 or Westville in Schwarz Hall, Room 40.  Please make sure you have cleared up any holds on your account that may prevent you from picking up your diploma.

Spring 2022 Diploma Pick-Up Dates are Thursday, June 2, through Friday, June 24, 2022.  Diplomas not picked up within these dates will be mailed to the address we currently have on file.

Please verify that your address is correct by viewing your personal information in the myPNW portal under the Student Self-Service area on the Registration tab. If you need to update your address, please fill out the Address Change form online.
