
Drive-Thru Flu Shot Event for PNW Faculty & Staff – Westville Campus

The Center for Healthy Living (CHL) at PNW will be offering flu shots via drive-thru events!
Free seasonal flu shots will be available soon. Purdue offers flu vaccinations each year at no cost to benefits-eligible faculty and staff, as well as spouses and dependents covered under a Purdue health plan.
Multiple options are available, including drive-thru events, appointments at the Center for Healthy Living (CHL), participating pharmacies and local health care providers, making it easy to choose the option that best fits your schedule.
- Thursday, October 1, 2026, flu-shots are available at the Center for Healthy Living (all locations). Appointments are required for the Hammond CHL location.
- Wednesday, October 14, 2026, 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. CT via drive-thru only in front of the Center for Healthy Living located in Riley Center Bldg at the Hammond Campus – located directly across from the Fitness & Recreation Center (Center for Healthy Living – 2250 173rd Street, Hammond, IN).
- Thursday, October 15, 2026, 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. CT via drive-thru only in the Circle Drive in front of Schwarz Hall at the Westville Campus (1401 S. U.S. Hwy. 421, Westville, IN).
Eligibility
- All benefits-eligible employees and dependents covered on a Purdue health plan are eligible to receive the free flu vaccine. Regardless of location, individuals coming for a flu shot should bring their Purdue University ID (PUID) card or their government ID or insurance card.
Vaccine Types
The CHL at PNW will be administering the following vaccines at both Hammond and Westville:
- Fluzone quadrivalent vaccine, which is designed to protect against four different flu viruses; two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses. It is approved for anyone ages 6 months and older.
- Flublok quadrivalent vaccine, which is designed to protect against four different flu viruses: two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses. It is approved for use in ages 18 years and older. It is preservative and egg-free.
