2026/2027 Flu Shot Information

Seasonal flu shots are provided at no charge to all benefits-eligible Purdue faculty and staff, as well as spouses and dependents covered on a Purdue medical plan, through a variety of means.

Regardless of location, individuals coming for a flu shot should bring their Purdue University ID (PUID) card.

On-Campus Drive-Thru Flu Shot Details

The CHL at Purdue University Northwest will be administering flu shots.

October 14 – Hammond Campus

7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. CT

In front of the Riley Center Building (Center for Healthy Living)

Campus Flu Shots

Starting October 1, flu shots are available:

Vaccine Types

The CHL at PNW will be administering the following vaccines at both Hammond and Westville:

  • Fluzone quadrivalent vaccine, which is designed to protect against four different flu viruses; two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses. It is approved for anyone ages 6 months and older.
  • Flublok quadrivalent vaccine, which is designed to protect against four different flu viruses; two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses. It is approved for use in ages 18 years and older. It is preservative and egg-free.

If an alternative vaccine type is needed, employees are encouraged to see their providers.


Additional Flu Shot Options

If employees are unable to make it to the CHL or a flu shot event on campus, there are other options:

  • Retail pharmacies
    Check with your retail pharmacy for flu shot availability. All Purdue medical plans cover the seasonal flu vaccine for employees and covered dependents.
  • Health care provider
    In most cases, primary care providers can administer flu shots. All Purdue medical plans cover the seasonal flu vaccine for employees and covered dependents.

Earn Your Path Incentive Dollars

As a reminder, flu shots are included in the 2026 Your Path incentive as one of the optional annual vaccinations in step 2. Therefore, those who get their flu shot in 2026 and log completion into the Your Path Portal are eligible for additional incentive dollars.
