Before Coming to Campus
Register for Classes
UV residents need to register for classes and confirm their financial arrangements are in place before they move in to University Village.
Register Your Car
To help ensure our parking is for YOU (our residents) and you alone, we require each vehicle that parks in our lot to be registered with our office.
Get your PrIDe Card
Residents must have their virtual PNW PrIDe card ready and on their phone before moving into the University Village community. Your virtual PNW PRIDE Card photo can be taken during New Student Orientation and is a vital part of the check-in process!
Review Important Information
- Be sure your emergency contact information is updated in your Housing Application.
- Read the Move-in Overview email you were sent thoroughly as it provides important move-in day information.
- When moving into the residence halls, we also ask that you NEVER change your address with United States Postal Service to the residence hall. Please keep your address as your home address. You can always change things to be sent to you via the company or financial institution directly, but please do not change with the United States Postal Service.

What To Expect During Move-In
We are excited and ready to offer our traditional full-day move-in extravaganza this year! We have a three-day move-in plan designed to get each student in safely and efficiently. Please see below for your schedule:
Housing Payment Meeting (Mandatory)
There will be a mandatory meeting with Financial Aid and the Bursar’s Office for any student who has not paid their housing bill in full (or set up a payment plan) by move-in day. You will receive information during your move-in day (red piece of paper) which will have the location and time of this meeting! YOU MUST ATTEND or you will be locked out of your room!
To ensure your check-in goes as smoothly as possible, please complete these items before you arrive on campus:
- Register your car
- Update your emergency and missing person information in your Housing application (click on the tab to the left once you are in the application to update these specific areas)
Please bring these items with you INTO the building to start your check-in:
- Virtual PNW PrIDe Card OR
- Nonexpired State issued picture ID
Arrivals Before and After Move-in Day
We are excited to see so many International Students return to PNW! To help you prepare for your arrival on campus, please review the important information outlined below.
Arrival Information
New international students will be able to move into their rooms starting on the following dates at no charge. Please be sure to complete this form so that we can begin to plan for your arrival: Early Arrival Form.
- Fall 2026: August 14th, 2026
- If you need to move in before this date, please know there will be a $30.00 (USD) charge for each day.

Insurance Assistance
Need to Complete your Immunizations in the States?
All new international students have two weeks from their arrival date to complete their required immunizations. The on-site health clinic, the Center for Healthy Living, is here to assist! To streamline the process, please complete your insurance information before arriving to ensure you can conveniently receive all necessary immunizations on campus
No need to drive or arrange transportation off-campus – we’ve got everything you need right here!
If you arrive after the time designated above, your move-in will take place as indicated below. Please know, this is not as efficient as participating during our move-in days so it will take some time for our staff to assist you.
Arriving to Campus
- Arrive Between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m.– Please go to the Griffin Hall Front Desk to check-in
- After 10 p.m. – We will not be doing any check-ins after this time. Please come back the next day between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Moving In
- Your move-in helpers will need to be signed in at the front desk. They will need to leave a nonexpired state-issued picture ID and can claim it when you are done moving in.
- There will be no volunteers to assist you during this time.
If you do not move in by noon on the first day of classes, your assignment will be cancelled and your room will be given to someone else.
Please look for a form in your Move-in Email and be sure to complete it as soon as possible. We will not hold any rooms for any student who is not on our late arrival list.
Any domestic students who wish to move in before their move-in day will need to complete an Early Arrival Form.
Please know that submitting this request does NOT mean it will be approved.
Approval will be based on the date requested as well as the approximate date of apartment/room readiness. There will be a $30.00/day charge for each day before your move-in date.
Athletes needing to arrive early should complete the above form AND communicate with their coaches for early arrival needs.
