  1. Go to one.purdue.edu
  2. Click on the icon labeled “Benefits Open Enrollment for Faculty & Staff”
  3. Log into BenefitFocus using your career account username and boilerkey.
  4. From the Welcome page, select the gold enrollment button in the upper right corner.
  5. On the Manage Your Benefits page, select the “Get Started” button.
  6. Review your profile information.  You may update your personal email and mobile phone in the system.  If other updates need to be made, please contact human resources.  Click “Continue to next step” button.
  7. Review your dependent information. If you need to add anyone, click “Add Dependent”.   If you need to make changes, select “Edit”.  Then, click “Next”.
  8. Answer the three survey questions for tobacco use, working spouse coverage and legal notice certification.  Click “Save and Continue”.
  9. Now you’re on the Open Enrollment Benefits page where you’ll see all of the benefits being offered. You will not be able to submit your enrollment until you have made a decision on all of the benefit plans highlighted in blue.  It’s best to follow the numbered benefit plans in order.
  10. Continue down the page selecting your coverages and making decisions for each of the blue highlighted plans. Click the gold “Begin enrollment” button for each benefit.  Once you have enrolled in the coverage or you have declined coverage, the blue highlight is removed and you are able to continue.
  11. Once you’ve made all your elections, review them. If everything is correct, click the black “Complete Enrollment” button at the bottom of the page when you are ready to submit your selections.
  12. When complete, the screen confirms you’ve completed your enrollment.  On this page, you’ll be able to print a copy of your elections for your files.  To end your enrollment, choose “Continue to next page.”  You have successfully completed your Enrollment.
