The Fulbright Program at Purdue University Northwest (PNW) is a prestigious international exchange initiative sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
PNW’s Fulbright Program supports faculty, scholars, students, and professionals in teaching, research, and academic collaboration abroad while welcoming international Fulbright participants to PNW.
The Office of International Programs and Partnerships (IPP) at PNW offers guidance throughout the application process and fosters connections between Fulbright scholars and our campus community.

Fulbright U.S. Student Program
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program at PNW offers recent graduates, graduate students and young professionals the chance to conduct research, study or serve as English teaching assistants in over 140 countries.
Graduate students and alumni must also contact the Fulbright Program Advisor via Ramesh Neupane by May 1.

- Attend an IPP informational session and declare intent to apply by May 1.
- Email Ramesh Neupane for session dates and details.
- Submit your intent by May 1 to receive advising support.
- Prepare your complete application (including letters of recommendation and language evaluations) for the campus deadline in the second week of September.
- Participate in campus interviews the following week.
Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program
The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program invites PNW faculty and staff to teach, conduct research, or pursue both abroad in over 130 countries.

- Begin planning 12 to 18 months before your desired grant start date.
- Contact Ramesh Neupane to schedule a consultation.
- Submit your intent to apply by May 1 for IPP advising and institutional endorsement.
- Complete the national application by mid-September (internal review timelines may vary).

PNW Nursing faculty member earns Fulbright award
PNW associate professor of Nursing Janet H. Davis received a U.S. Fulbright Faculty Scholar award to develop and strengthen Nursing leadership and teaching in Sri Lanka during the 2024-25 academic year.
