Kim Scipes

Kim Scipes is a Professor Emeritus of Sociology at Purdue University Northwest. He taught on the Westville campus between 2004 and 2022, and on the Hammond campus between 2020 and 2022, and remains active as a scholar, researcher, and activist. Dr. Scipes was awarded the "Golden Hoosier" Award from the Lt. Governor's Office of the State of Indiana during September 2025.  This award is for those of us over 65 who have continued to contribute to the advancement and well-being of the people of Indiana.
