Transcripts

Purdue University’s transcript services have transitioned to National Student Clearinghouse.

In-person transcript requests are not available. All official transcript requests will utilize the National Student Clearinghouse online system.

Purdue University charges a fee for each transcript ordered through National Student Clearinghouse. Applicable fees and delivery options will be displayed before you submit your order.

Request Transcripts ONLINE

Transcripts may be ordered online through National Student Clearinghouse. On the Purdue University transcript webpage, click on the link for “Order Official Purdue Transcripts through NSC” or use the “Request Transcripts Online” link on this page.

Helpful Tips for Ordering Your Transcript through National Student Clearinghouse

  • Google Chrome or Firefox are the recommended browsers.
  • When entering your PUID, leave off the first “0” in your ID number. The PUID should be 9 digits.
  • You will need to electronically sign your request and provide payment information. Have your credit or debit card handy.
  • After you submit, you will see a confirmation screen with an order number and you will get an order confirmation email from Student Clearinghouse. You will receive additional email updates (and text messages if you opt in) regarding the status of your order.

Viewing Your Electronic Transcript

Once you have ordered an electronic transcript, you (if you indicated that it should be sent to you) or your recipient (if you are sending to a third party) will receive an email with a link to access the transcript. You and/or your recipient have 30 days to download the transcript. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view the transcript properly. Certified Adobe PDFs cannot be viewed on a mobile or tablet device; you must use a desktop or laptop computer.

To see the Transcript Key (explanation of credit types, grading system, and abbreviations as well as accreditation and academic calendar information), go to your download folder and open the transcript there; it will be on the right under “Attachments”.

Viewing Your Transcript Order Status (For Requests Made through National Student Clearinghouse)

Apostille is a French word which means a certification. It is commonly used as the legalization of a document for international use under the terms of the 1961 Hague Convention.

If you need an apostille, select “Yes” to the apostille question during the National Student Clearinghouse ordering process. Additional fees will apply.

The PNW Registrar currently makes the following general documents available for the apostille process: transcripts, enrollment/degree certifications and requests for a duplicate or replacement diploma. If you require additional services, such as a replacement diploma, please note the details on your apostille when ordering your transcript. Our office will send certification documents to the Secretary of State in Indianapolis, Indiana, who will then forward the documents to you or to your recipient whichever you have selected.

Requestors should provide the following:

Please note: PNW staff cannot advise requestors on the international apostille process. It is the requestors’ responsibility to follow the procedures outlined by the Secretary of State Office of Authentications.

Given the additional complexity of notarization, please allow 4 to 6 weeks for the completed certification.
