Kyle Toth Named New AIST Safety and Health Committee Chair

Congratulations to CIVS Senior Research Engineer Kyle Toth on being selected to become the new AIST Safety and Health Committee Chair. Kyle was formerly the Vice Chair. The mission of the committee is to serve and support all AIST Technology Committees by providing and disseminating information on health and safety technologies through educational programs, assisting in the understanding of applicable regulations, and providing a forum for the exchange of safety-related topics and industry best practices. Kyle started his research at CIVS for senior design and continued during graduate studies for his MSECE degree. Currently, he is leading the CIVS research team in the areas of safety and workforce development.
I look forward to succeeding Nathan Berry as the Committee Chair for the AIST Safety and Health Technology Committee. We have already been making strides to work with other Technology Committees through joint sessions over the last year, and I hope in the year that I have before the next chair election, we can accomplish even more through our cooperation with the other committees.
