CIVS Senior Research Scientist Participates at ManuFuture Event

CIVS Senior Research Scientist, John Moreland, participated in a ManuFuture event on May 14 at the Indiana Manufacturing Institute at Purdue West Lafayette. The event included speakers from various manufacturing companies, Purdue and other academic partners, and other organizations focused on advanced manufacturing technologies such as industrial applications of AI and IoT sensors. Breakout sessions and discussions focused on identifying challenges and solving issues across the spectrum of manufacturing ranging from how to get started with sensors and machine monitoring through advanced implementation and practical issues.

The vision of ManuFuture is to empower U.S. manufacturers to increase resiliency and international competitiveness by successfully adopting privacy-preserving, scalable, certify-as-build AI/ML practices to erase the digital-divide and accrue the benefit of economy-of-scale without centralization.
