Cleveland-Cliffs Managers Have Successful Visit to CIVS

group of peopleEight Managers from Cleveland-Cliffs visited CIVS on June 11. The group, led by Stephen Palmer (Enterprise Director of Engineering), spent several hours to thoroughly review past and current projects conducted at CIVS & and Steel Manufacturing Simulation and Visualization Consortium (SMSVC). The topics covered Blast Furnace, DRI, EAF, Ladle, Reheating Furnace, Casting, Safety including AI Hazard Recognition, Crane Training, and other VR & AR simulators. Productive discussions were made to explore future collaboration projects.

The visit was organized by Kelly Dallas (Senior Director of Engineering). Other visitors included Barry Felton, Daniel vanGhunt, Ted Vrehas, Jaco Barnard, Lester Grossman, and Mark Howe. Cleveland-Cliffs has a long history partnership with CIVS and is a Charter member company of the SMSVC.
