CIVS Staff and Students Visit U.S. Steel Gary Works and Charter Steel for Collaboration Projects

CIVS Senior Research Engineer Kyle Toth traveled with senior design and other CIVS student workers to U.S. Steel Gary Works to observe BOF process operations to learn what should be targeted for activities for training as part of the senior design work being performed.

The project will be completed this fall and presented to the SMSVC at the Annual Meeting in November.

In May and June, CIVS staff visited Charter Steel in Saukville, WI and Cleveland, OH to have working meetings regarding the crane project that is a part of the SMSVC.
