EAF Research Presented at EASES Conference

On June 12, EAF research was presented at the EASES (European Academic Symposium on EAF Steelmaking) 2025 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Hamzah Alshawarghi from Linde presented “An Integrated CFD Modeling Approach Towards an Entire EAF Operation Process”. The presentation is co-authored by CIVS Director Chenn Zhou, CIVS Research Scientist Orlando Ugarte, CIVS Associate Director for Research Ty Okosun, CIVS Ph.D. student Shiyu Wang, CIVS Graduate Research Assistant Sathvika Kottapalli, and Linde’s Joe Maiolo. Linde is a member of the SMSVC.The European Academic Symposium on EAF Steelmaking is focused mainly on researchers and doctoral candidates in academia, research and technology organizations and companies with the topic of EAF steelmaking and technology. It will give the researchers and PhD students the opportunity to present and discuss about their current research projects. It will help to better get to know each other, get a better idea of what others working in the same field are doing and to create networks between the people working on similar topics.
