Section II: This section is for changes in courses only

  • Subject:Modify the prerequisites for CHM 11100
  • Justification: The current prerequisites for CHM11100 are undergraduate level MA 11100 minimum grade of C- or undergraduate level MA 11500 or ALEKS PPL Math Placement of 45. This often causes students to avoid or delay entry into this course which provides smooth transition to CHM11900 general chemistry (pre-nursing), or CHM11500 general chemistry. The nursing school has requested that the math requirement be changed to facilitate getting students into CHM11100 so students can move more quickly into CHM11900.
