Senate Action and Date:
- For Discussion, 3/9/2018;
Whereas, section III.C.8 of the Faculty Senate Constitution gives the Faculty the right to advise on matters concerning “Policies affecting the general welfare, privileges, tenure and responsibilities of The Purdue University Northwest faculty, standards for appointment, and procedures for academic promotion of members of the faculty”; and
Whereas, the Fall 2017 survey of faculty on workload issues conducted by the Faculty Affairs Committee revealed inconsistencies and inequities related to workload policies and assignments;
Therefore, be it resolved that the Senate form an ad hoc committee to provide to the Senate a report and recommendation on faculty workload.
