Resolution on Timely Assignment of Courses to Faculty

Whereas, PNW has adopted a three-semester schedule; and

Whereas, PNW faculty have expressed concerns about the timing of course assignments; and

Whereas, PNW faculty have expressed specific need for the preparation time to arrange the necessary delivery mechanism and configure platforms, the appropriate text section and reference material for the course; and

Whereas, PNW does not have a consistent, university-wide policy on the timing of course assignments

Be it resolved that: Faculty should be assigned to courses as early as possible but at least 6 weeks before the beginning of the semester.
