Rebuttal Option at Promotion and Tenure Campus Committee Level

For Discussion: 11/8/19

Whereas: The Purdue University Northwest Faculty Senate Promotion and Tenure Guidelines do not provide for a rebuttal option to be exercised by an applicant for tenure and/or promotion following the decision of Campus (University) Committee as it does following the decisions by the Primary (Department/School) and Area (College) Committees; and

Whereas: Such an option would allow for the applicant to address pertinent issues prior to final decision-making by the administration;

Be it resolved that a rebuttal option for applicants be allowed following the decision of the Campus (University) Committee and that the Guidelines be amended to reflect this change.
