Whereas: Breakdowns in the principles of shared governance have occurred far too frequently at Purdue Northwest and its predecessor institutions, and

 

Whereas: The attached statement on shared governance, Fort Wayne SD 16-26, adopted by the Purdue Fort Wayne faculty Senate, outlines with exceptional clarity the requirements for achieving a true system of shared governance,

 

Be it resolved: The Purdue Northwest faculty Senate hereby endorses Fort Wayne SD 16-26, and in particular its basic principles of shared governance, for adoption at Purdue Northwest as well, modified as necessary to refer to Purdue Northwest rather than Purdue Fort Wayne.
