Choosing where you’ll live during your time at PNW is more than just picking a room, it’s about finding the environment that helps you thrive. Whether you’re looking for a lively, community-focused space or a quieter retreat, we offer options designed to fit different lifestyles and preferences.
Our multi-person suites are a great choice for students who thrive on collaboration and connection.
- Shared Living Spaces: Your kitchen and common area are the perfect places to unwind with your friends and suitemates.
- Private Bedrooms: Ideal for striking a balance between personal space and the energy of living alongside others.
- Shared Bedrooms: Perfect for students wanting a roommate and suitemates at a lower price!
Our single and double residence hall rooms are a classic choice for those who prefer simplicity and convenience.
- Shared Spaces: Designed for community, these areas make it easy to bond, study and relax together. Bathrooms and common areas will be shared between residents on your floor. A kitchen is available on the first floor.
- Single Rooms: Ideal if you value privacy, quiet and a space that’s entirely your own.
- Double Rooms: Great for building close friendships and sharing the college experience side by side.

Opening Fall 2026
Purdue University Northwest is expanding housing options for students by building a third residence hall on the Hammond campus!
The three-story residence hall will provide 150 beds of single- and double-occupancy rooms, plus a common kitchen, laundry facilities, student study areas and a student lounge.
Room Types Available
You may express your preference for these spaces in your housing application, but if space is limited, you will be placed in any room type below. Room assignments are first-come, first-served, so please be sure to complete all of your application items as quickly as possible and by the priority application date!
